It can be said that for Marketing students, communication support tools are extremely important. How can customers become interested in your products or services? One of the requirements is that your communication products must truly attract attention. Images and videos are effective tools to create impressions on viewers and to differentiate your communication products from existing ones.
With the aim of enhancing and improving image and video design techniques to serve academic purposes and support communication activities for the major and the Faculty, as well as creating opportunities for students to interact, strengthen solidarity, and support one another, on the morning of 1 April 2023, the Marketing Club organized a session with the topic “Basic Techniques for Designing Communication Images and Videos.”
The programme attracted the participation of lecturers and guests:
PhD Nguyen Van Tan – Dean of FAIE;
MB Ta Thi Thanh Huong – Vice Dean of FAIE;
MB Nguyen Thi Bich Thuy – Head of Division of Marketing and Commerce, Advisor of the Marketing Club;
Along with lecturers of the Faculty and more than 50 students from the Marketing major and other majors.
Delivering directive remarks at the programme, PhD Nguyen Van Tan stated: “Society currently has a high demand for marketing; however, do students have sufficient capability to implement it? To achieve this, students must study and engage with real-world practice while still at university, as this is an opportunity for them to gain firsthand experience. Students must learn how to connect with other majors, for example, Tourism and Travel Management. The tourism sector currently has high demand, but they may not know how to deliver their services to customers. Therefore, within the same Faculty and University, students have a valuable opportunity to collaborate across majors and fields to create products while simultaneously identifying customers. Recently, LHU students won two awards at SV. Startup 2023. Participating in such competitions is also a good opportunity to connect with predecessors, investors, and to learn from experienced individuals.”
Notably, PhD Nguyen Van Tan also facilitated an exchange session with Mr. Nguyen Tuan Trinh – an alumnus from the 2007 cohort of the Business Administration major. It is known that he has recently started operating a Coconut store chain in Bien Hoa and is currently facing challenges in communication and marketing. Upon learning about the programme, he sought information and registered to participate. In particular, he sponsored more than 50 portions of milk tea for all lecturers and students attending the session. It can be seen that through participation in such clubs, students not only have opportunities to interact with one another but also to learn from lecturers, enterprises, and alumni.
Mr. Vo Thai Sinh – Secretary of the Faculty Youth Union, and Mr. Dang Minh Thuat – Teaching Assistant of the Tourism and Travel Management major – served as speakers of the programme, guiding, sharing experiences, and supporting students to complete image and video products during the session. In particular, students also received gifts from the Organizing Committee in recognition of their enthusiasm and efforts.
With the objective of equipping Marketing students with comprehensive knowledge and skills, the major and the Club promise to continue organizing a series of activities for students, following a roadmap from the first year until graduation. Through these activities, students are provided with opportunities for practical learning, in accordance with the statement of PhD Nguyen Van Tan: “Students must study and engage with real-world practice while still at university.”
