Employee Conference

The Employee Conference is an annual event held as part of the university’s series of key activities celebrating the 41st Anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers’ Day (November 20, 1982 – November 20, 2023). The university is currently planning and scheduling the 2024 Employee Conference to continue promoting dialogue, transparency, and collaboration between the university administration and all employees.

On November 2, 2023, the conference took place at Hall A301, Campus 1, Lac Hong University, with the participation of 132 delegates representing 18 Labour Union units across the university.

During the conference, delegates listened to a summary report of employee feedback and opinions, a presentation on the Labour Union’s achievements and future directions, and a report on the implementation of grassroots democracy regulations. Questions and concerns raised by Labour Union groups were addressed comprehensively by university leaders and the Labour Union Executive Committee.

The conference also featured the signing of the Collective Labor Agreement and the signing of the Emulation Agreement between the university and the Labour Union. In addition, flags of commendation, certificates of merit, and awards were presented to outstanding units and individuals, including those recognized as “Excellent Women in Work and Family Life.”

The event concluded successfully, marking another milestone in strengthening cooperation between university leadership and the Labour Union for the 2023–2024 academic year.

1. Freedom of Association

The organization of the Employee Conference, with active participation from the Lac Hong University Labour Union, demonstrates the university’s recognition of the right to freedom of association.
The event also included the signing of the Emulation Agreement between the university and the Labour Union, affirming that the university acknowledges and supports the role of the Labour Union as the legitimate representative organization of employees in all decision-making and negotiation processes related to labor and welfare.

2. Collective Bargaining

During the conference, the Collective Labor Agreement was formally signed between university management and employee representatives. The agreement was developed through consultation, feedback, and full consent (100%) of all employees, ensuring that their rights, responsibilities, and working conditions are negotiated fairly and transparently.

The term “employees” here includes both male and female staff members as well as international employees, reflecting Lac Hong University’s commitment to equality, inclusiveness, and decent work for all.
