On November 27, 2025, LHU in collaboration with the Center for Education Accreditation (CEA),VNU-HCM organized a training workshop titled “AI Applications in Higher Education Quality Assurance Management", as part of the InnoAIQA-VN Project. With the spirit of cooperation, openness, and continuous learning, the event delivered practical value to Vietnam’s higher education community.

Representatives of the InnoAIQA Project included Ms. Xia Qin – NMT Program Coordinator, Center for Quality Development, University of Potsdam (Germany); M.A. Ho Dac Hai Mien – Deputy Director of the CEA, VNU-HCM and Project Leader of InnoAIQA-VN; along with members of the advisory board, project team, and lecturers from higher education institutions nationwide.

The training program aimed to support the effective implementation of the InnoAIQA-VN Project in Vietnam while providing a platform for sharing practical experiences in applying AI to educational quality management. The workshop also served as an opportunity for LHU to introduce its operational models, including its learning outcomes measurement system, AI solutions for learning analytics, AI-based scientific research support, and innovation labs designed to foster creativity.

In the opening presentation, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lam Thanh Hien shared LHU’s achievements and experience in quality assurance. LHU was the first institution in Southeast Asia to receive institutional accreditation under the AUN-QA 3.0 standards. To date, the University has 18 academic programs accredited by AUN-QA and 2 programs accredited by ABET. Its quality assurance model has been repeatedly showcased at national conferences.

During the event, representatives from various institutions engaged in discusssions on AI applications in quality accreditation, including using AI to analyze the novelty of research topics in comparison with international publications; applying AI tools to support academic writing, editing, and citation, combined with practical training, scientific research, and the development of digital learning materials”.

Participants also had the opportunity to explore LHU’s modern facilities, including laboratories, media studios, practice areas, and creative learning spaces for students.

Through this event, LHU continues to affirm its pioneering role in applying AI to educational management, contributing to promoting quality innovation models within Vietnam’s higher education community.
