[FFA] Bridging Theory and Practice: Preparing the Workforce for the AI Era

In the context of artificial intelligence (AI) and digital transformation profoundly reshaping the global logistics industry, workforce requirements now extend beyond disciplinary knowledge to include technological competence, analytical thinking, and adaptive capability. In response to these demands, on the afternoon of April 7, 2026, at Hall A301, Lac Hong University, the Faculty of Finance and Accounting successfully organized the April Logistics Club seminar under the theme: “Adapting to the Logistics Labor Market in the Era of AI.”

This seminar represents a key initiative aligned with the University’s educational orientation of integrating theory with practice, enabling students not only to deepen their academic understanding but also to engage directly with the expectations of the contemporary labor market. The session featured Mr. Tran Duy Khiem, Deputy Director of APETECHS Joint Stock Company, an expert with extensive experience in technology and AI applications in logistics.

During the seminar, the speaker provided a comprehensive overview of emerging trends in the logistics industry in the AI era, while analyzing shifts in job structures, recruitment requirements, and the core competencies students need to develop. In particular, the discussion emphasized the transition from traditional labor to digital labor, where technological proficiency, data-driven thinking, and continuous learning capacity have become essential.

Beyond knowledge dissemination, the seminar created opportunities for students to directly connect classroom learning with real-world business requirements. Through practical examples, real-life scenarios, and professional insights, students gained a clearer understanding of the modern logistics working environment, thereby enabling them to shape their career pathways from an early stage.

The interactive discussion between students and the speaker was dynamic, featuring numerous questions related to essential skills in the AI era, career opportunities, and adaptability in the evolving labor market. These practical insights contributed to enhancing students’ career awareness and strengthening their confidence as they prepare to enter the workforce.

The organization of industry-linked academic seminars such as the Logistics Club session demonstrates the effectiveness of Lac Hong University’s educational model, which emphasizes application-oriented, practice-based, and globally integrated training. It also serves as a vital bridge between academia and industry in developing high-quality human resources.
